Summer Expression Sessions – Coffs Harbour
Coffs Harbour City Council and NSW Government have partnered to deliver Summer Expression Sessions, giving young people the opportunity to get active and creative. Youth between the ages of 12-24 are invited to skate, paint and strum sessions from 10am on Saturday at Brelsford Park, followed by a free screening of ‘Chasing Mavericks’ at Cavanbah Hall at 2.30pm. Nana Glen Hall will host the final set of workshops on Sunday from 10am-2pm.
“After the challenges and impacts of bushfires and COVID-19, we’re keen to kick off 2021 by offering local young people a chance to focus on something creative and uplifting as well as make new connections and learn new skills,” says Madeleine Lawler, the council’s Section Leader of Community Planning and Engagement.
Anyone can join the free Brelsford Park activities by just turning up. For the free screening of Chasing Mavericks, register attendance at https://www.jettytheatre.com/chasing-mavericks.
