Zephyr Horses was founded by Byron Bay local Kate Noller – a horse woman with a vision of providing personalised and indulgent horse riding experiences to those who wish to share the beauty of connecting with horses. She saw an opportunity to provide visitors and locals alike, a unique experience that encompasses the raw beauty that still exists in the iconic township.

Kate wanted to share with people what she was so fortunate enough to have as a child – horse riding in the wilderness, in the elements, feeling freedom and connection. “Horses teach you so much more about yourself than you may ever realise.” Gaining the sense of achievement, connection, respect, self worth and awareness that comes from being around horses is irreplaceable.

“Our amazing forest trails lead directly onto a beautiful stretch of beach managed by NSW Marine Parks, which means we abide by all the regulations that help protect this precious environment. Guests not only get to ride along scenic forest tracks and fire trails but will also learn how to crack a Stockman’s whip while we sit around the campfire enjoying a Billy tea.”

Zephyr horses are exceptionally well bred and trained, with a mix of ponies, Clydesdales, thoroughbreds and Australian stock breeds, catering to everyone from small children to experienced riders.

“We are safe and personalised, keeping groups to a maximum of eight,” Kate explains. “We also use and regularly maintain top-of-the-range equipment, so guests can experience the comfort of a quality saddle and secure helmet throughout their ride.”

RIDE TYPES:

Forest Trail

A great way to get a glimpse of Byron Bay’s diverse flora and fauna though our gorgeous forest trail. Ride through the native Tea Tree swamp while you navigate water on some parts of the track.

Approx 1hr – $99 pp.

Extended Forest Trail with “Beach View”

A longer forest ride where we ride along the high dune and overlook the beach in parts.

Approx. 1.5 hrs – $130 pp.

Forest to Beach

Follow our wonderfully diverse forest trail before arriving at a spectacular entrance to be able to ride along the beach.

Approx. 1.5 hrs – $140 pp or $160 pp for sunrise and sunset rides. *Weekdays only
