Family Fun Day – Yamba
Expert sandologist Steve Machel will be back at Yamba Main Beach to show his skills and pass on advice at the Rotary Club of Yamba’s Annual Family Fun Day. Mr Machel oversees the popular sand modelling competition and offers contestants hints and tips before they create their artworks. Be there early to see his design take shape using nothing more than sand, water, bucket, a butter knife and brush. Teams of four then compete against each other in making their own sand modelling designs, with a junior section (competitors aged under seven years) and a senior section. There will be a barbecue with sausage and steak sandwiches, as well as the beach kiosk. Entry fee goes to Yamba Rotary for use on local projects.
