NAIDOC Day – South West Rocks
The theme for NAIDOC Week 2020 is ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’ and recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for our continent for over 65,000 years. Originally slated for earlier in the year, celebrations were pushed back due to COVID-19. There are events, exhibitions, concerts and discussions planned in every local government area along our coastline. Everyone is invited to see, hear and learn from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people this week and beyond. On Sunday, South West Rocks Figtree Descendants Aboriginal Corporation presents a day of cultural performances, live music, weaving workshops and an open mic session at Little Bay.
