Clarence Valley Agriculture Day Farm and Food Trail – Grafton, Yamba, Maclean and beyond
Celebrate the Clarence Valley’s agri-food sector this National Agriculture Day. Six local working farms and seven eateries specialising in locally grown ingredients will feature in this year’s events.
Chairperson of Clarence Valley Food Inc, Debrah Novak says it’s an opportunity to remind people about the extraordinary efforts and economic value local farming communities contribute to the Clarence Valley.
“The Clarence Valley is the major food bowl on the North Coast with over 60 commodities produced in our region,” Debrah says. “One in four Clarence Valley businesses is a primary producer and a large employer of the local community.”
Everyone is invited to farm and foodie visits at 13 different venues. Lovers of local alcohol, seafood, coffee, ice cream and veggies can book in for meals and samples. Choose from Clarence Gin Distillery in Yamba, Sanctus Brewing Co in Townsend, Clarence Kitchen Collective in South Grafton and more. Beef, dairy, sugar cane and horticulture farms will be open for tours and information sessions. Check out The Peach Farm at Mororo, Clarence Valley Dairy at Southgate or Cardiff Alpaca Farm on Chatsworth Island.
